Welcome to deafbikers.org.uk, the only deaf bikers group that exists in the UK. These pages are used solely for deaf motorcyclist owners / enthusiasts (past owners are welcome as well). Hearing peers are welcome to join if they wish to share information and learn about our Deaf culture.
The club runs a non-discriminatory policy and any motorcyclist who feels at ease with deaf people can join. We have a few rules, but there are two rules which are strictly enforced: join our activities you must own or previously owned a motorcycle and attend our riding fixtures on a motorcycle or attend our rally. The Club has no dress code.
As a volunteer group with no membership status but they come as they please, there are large number of deaf bikers groups from all over the UK but split into regional groups / network and an increasing links with European and Overseas groups/clubs.
Our members are of all ages and backgrounds. We naturally have varied biking interests, but we are primarily a road-riding club. Riding experience ranges from learners through to advanced riders and club racers. It is our interest in motorcycles and motorcycling which bring us together.
We offers lively programme of events as well as support and friendship.
Our events are local, national and European. We have a regional network of area contacts who organise regular meetings each month – these are a mixture of riding and social events.
At present, the website is currently being updating.
